The client, who owns a holiday rental villa in Pinosol, Javea, wanted to lower their energy costs, especially for air conditioning when the property is rented out. The villa generates rental income through platforms like Airbnb, and the client needed a solution that would provide efficient power during the summer rental period.
The expected annual electricity bill after installation would be reduced to just €20 (the standing charge) across the whole year. This will be achieved by the property earning credit via a virtual battery deal when uninhabited, and then using that credit and the solar power to cut bills of €200-250 down when the property is rented out.

Installation
Due to the property’s rental status, the client requested that the inverter be placed high up and out of reach of tourists. Our team mounted the inverter in a secure location, ensuring it was both accessible for maintenance but not in a place where it could be tampered with by guests.
The installation was timed to fit between tenant bookings, allowing us to complete the work in just two days without interrupting the rental schedule.
Results
The solar system has provided excellent performance, particularly during the winter months, generating credits. During the summer, the system provides enough energy to keep the air conditioning running while the property is occupied, contributing to energy savings during high-demand periods.
The system’s expected break-even period is 4 years, offering a solid ROI and ensuring the client can maintain the property’s energy needs at a much lower cost.
